ABOUT AKC COLLARS

My collars are constructed using only the finest fabrics, strongest threads, and highest quality
hardware (buckles and D rings), as well as state-of-the-art machines. All these factors ensure
complete safety for your dog. I will only ever sell collars I deem to be good enough for my own
two hounds. It is crucial that the hardware is sewn in properly, and I use a heavy duty industrial
sewing machine which gets as close to the D ring as possible. This ensures that it cannot twist
around and weaken the collar. I make two different collar styles - classic and martingale.

Collar Styles

Classic collars just slip over the head and adjust down to fit. They are suitable as an indoor
tag collar, or for walking well behaved/calm dogs. Martingale collars adjust down to leave two
inches between the buckles holding the martingale loop. The collar can then be slipped on and
off without further adjustment. This style of collar is particularly good for nervous/boisterous
dogs - ones more likely to try and slip their collar. It is also known as a safety collar.

All my collars are satin lined for comfort, and to minimise neck irritation.

No collar lasts forever, no matter how expertly made, so it is important to check the condition
of your own dog's collar on a regular basis. I offer a recycling service - when the fabric of your
collar eventually wears out, just return the hardware (buckles and D ring) to me, and I will use
them to make a brand new collar for you and knock 25% off the normal price - just email me.
